Welcome to MDS Portraits!
Mark having initially came from a musical background, started working as a freelance artist back in the mid 90s. He would come to accept commissions of all shapes and sizes. From portraiture, to caricatures to room size murals. Whilst totally content, and giving no thought to change, he then stumbled much to his surprise, into the colourful world of tattooing - who knew!! He eventually opened his multi award winning studio - Creation Tattoo, in his native town of Dunfermline, Fife back in 2006. He is still there and as busy as ever which is fantastic. All the work is on a freehand basis. Which ensures the work is as individual as the customers who wear it.
Mid 2020 During the dreaded lockdown, Mark felt the overwhelming urge to start painting again. He put it on the back burner. Then, at the start of 2021, he picked up his brushes for the first time in 16 years and started painting his first love...portraits.
So now the next exciting chapter sees the birth of “MDS Portrait artist”.
