We’re starting the week with coffee, chaos, and the exciting reality that our Auto Electrician starts with us very soon!

He hasn’t even started yet… and the diary is already filling with electrical gremlins, wiring mysteries, sensor tantrums, and “my dash lit up like a Christmas tree” moments.

And honestly? We’re ready for it.
Because having an Auto Electrician on site means faster answers, cleaner diagnostics, and fewer baffling conversations about why “the light only came on after you touched it.”

Fun Fact Friday!

Did you know we can refuse to MOT your diesel vehicle if it hasn’t been serviced properly or if the timing belt can’t be confirmed as safe?

For diesels, the MOT includes a full‑load smoke test — and that means revving your engine right up to its limit.
If the belt is overdue, unknown, or showing signs of wear, the tester is allowed to decline the test because:

It can damage our MOT equipment

It can blow up your engine

And if that happens… who’s liable?
(Hint: not us.)

A neglected diesel + an unverified belt + a maximum‑rev smoke test = a very expensive explosion waiting to happen.

So yes — keeping your diesel serviced and your belt checked isn’t just good practice… it’s the difference between a smooth MOT and a refusal for safety.
