📞 Why we’re apparently not answering the phone… vs. why we’re actually not answering the phone… 😂

❌ What people think:

* Ignoring the phone.
* Having a tea break every 10 minutes.
* Chatting in the workshop.
* Hiding from customers.
* Seeing your name pop up and thinking “not today!” 😜

✅ Reality:

* Serving the customer standing in front of us.
* Replying to emails.
* Sourcing parts that seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
* Putting together estimates.
* Booking jobs.
* Helping the technicians.
* Answering another phone that’s already ringing.
* Wondering if cloning is finally an option. 🤯

We’re only a small team, so sometimes the phone has to wait its turn.

If we don’t answer, please leave a voicemail. Every message gets listened to, and we’ll always call you back as soon as we can. Or if you’re looking for an estimate, the easiest way is to email or WhatsApp us.

🌤️ Good Morning from The VW Service Centre

We’ve been extremely busy recently, and with team members away on holidays, training courses, and a bout of illness, the pressure has certainly been felt across the workshop and reception. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this period.

🔧 Changes Coming After Easter
We’re pleased to share that some positive developments are on the way:

• Two new staff members will be joining the team to strengthen both the workshop and front-of-house.
• Phil will return to reception two days a week, with a new team member covering the other three days to ensure consistent communication.
• Neil will be taking full charge of the workshop daily, supporting our technicians and keeping workflow running smoothly.

These changes are designed to improve efficiency, communication, and the overall customer experience.

📅 Booking Availability

We are currently taking most bookings from the week starting 13th April, with very limited availability before then.

Until Easter, we kindly ask that estimate requests are sent via WhatsApp or Email, as the phone is not always manned during this busy period. We will reply to all messages and queries as soon as we are able.

📣 February Booking Update

A quick heads‑up for everyone planning MOTs or service work:
🔧 All MOT appointments for February are now fully booked.
🛠️ Service & repair slots for February are extremely limited — these will go quickly.

📅 Most new bookings will now be from Monday 2nd March onwards.

If you know your MOT or service is coming up, please get in touch early so we can get you a date that works for you.
