Hi everybody,

Darren and I wanted to make an official announcement to you all about the future of Grill-n-Chill.

Following the loss of both Jon and Kevin last year, we are both finding it difficult to find the drive needed currently to plan, promote or run the show, and to that end, there won’t be an event this year.

Neither of us know yet what the future holds for GnC, as there are many other factors fighting against us, but never say never.

We’d both like to thank you all from the bottoms of our hearts for all the help, support and encouragement over the years, and we really couldn’t have done it without you all behind us, you really are the best bunch of festival goers out there.

Thanks for all the good times and memories, we’ve seen a lot of life changing events, and no matter what happens, it will live on in our hearts, the vw scene, and be talked about fondly in the future.

Much love from all of us involved.

It’s with a deep sadness we have to inform you of the passing of our very own Jon Planner.

Jon was pivotal to our event, being the man that came up with the name ’Grill-n-Chill’, being responsible for planning & organising the trade village, as well as being the music maestro, organising the DJ’s, and playing the odd set himself.

For us personally, we know that GnC will never be the same again, and we’ll need a little time to see what the future holds for the event. But what we do know is that we want the show to go on, and we’ll raise a glass for jon, have a dance, and talk about the good times.

In the meantime, we put together some stickers for the cruise from Jon’s funeral to the celebration of his life. They were so well received, we were asked to do a second run.
We’re asking £5 a pair, including postage, and all profits from these will go to his family, and their chosen charity.

Hi all,

We’ve been trying to work out the details for this years event, and unfortunately with rising costs, changes in regulations, and so much going on within our own lives away from the event, we have had to take the hard decision not to host GnC for 2025.

The silver lining is that we have booked dates for 2026, and will be launching the event later this year.

We’d like to apologise to those of you who have booked the time off work already, but hopefully you’ll be able to find an alternative event for that weekend.

We’ll still be attending a bunch of other shows throughout the year, and are looking forward to catching up with you for a sherry and a chat around a camp fire.

Thanks in advance for understanding, your support to date, and going forwards.

The signs are looking good for the years Grill-n-Chil 2024

We are a couple of miles down Byers Lane on the right hand side, as you come from the A22, opposite the entrance to Godstone ATV.

What three words for the road leading up to our gate is:

We’ve included a photo with the postcode on it, but sometimes this takes you to somebody’s private drive, so look for our arrows and where they’re pointing!

Plenty of tickets on the gate for those of you that have left it to the last minutes. Cash only. Details are also elsewhere on our page.

The guys are now on site, but the below might help, answer some of your questions, if not, they might have been asked already and the answers could be on our pages.

Gate prices are £40pp with camping. Under 16’s are free.

Day prices.

Saturday £20pp, but if you leave before 6pm you will be refunded £10.

Sunday is a flat £10pp.

Again under 16’s are free for both days.

There are plenty of tickets available on the gate.

You’re welcome to bring your car into the show and display it, just inform the team on the gate.

Saturday is Pride-n-Joy day, no judging or awards.

Sunday is the main event, Show-n-Shine judging and awards for both the Old Skool BMXs, and the Cars.

All times are shown in the photo below.

Dogs are allowed to, but not if they’re on the current government dangerous breads list.

No showers on site.

There’s a water point, but it’s rarely used outside of our event, so we suggest bringing drinking water, or boiling it first.

Check out the running order and the do’s & don’t for this weekend.

Camping Tickets will be available on the gate, £40pp for over 16’s, children 15 and under are free.

Day visitors are £10pp(kids still free).
On the Saturday you’ll be charged £20 to get in. If you leave before 6pm you’ll be refunded £10. You’re welcome to stay longer and enjoy the evening entertainment, but there won’t be any refunds after 6pm.

Sunday is a flat £10pp on the gate, including entry into the Show-n-Shine.

All prices are Cash only.
