⚠️ A Clarification Regarding Cotswold Van Centre
For several years, behind the scenes, we have been working hard to distance Cotswold Van Centre from a business in Malmesbury called Cotswold Vans Limited.
Unfortunately, because of the similarity in names, we regularly received telephone calls and emails from customers and suppliers who mistakenly believed the two businesses were connected. At one stage, we were even taken to court by an unpaid supplier who had wrongly assumed we were the same company.
Towards the end of last year, Cotswold Vans Limited entered administration. More recently, many of you may have seen media reports concerning the prosecution of individuals connected with that company over offences relating to vehicle mileage.
As the media reports repeatedly refer to Cotswold Vans Limited, we feel it is important to make one thing absolutely clear:
✅ Cotswold Van Centre has never had any association whatsoever with Cotswold Vans Limited.
We are completely separate businesses and always have been.
For over 45 years, Cotswold Van Centre has built its reputation on honesty, transparency and treating customers fairly. We believe every vehicle should be described accurately, every customer should receive honest advice, and every sale should be conducted with integrity.
Mileage fraud is one of the most serious breaches of trust in the motor trade. It has no place in our industry, and it is something we have always strongly opposed.
Although we have remained professional and largely stayed silent over the years despite the confusion caused by the similarity in names, we felt it was important to provide this clarification for our customers, suppliers and the wider community.
