Squeaky belts ?!

We had this Volvo XC60 in for rather noisy squeal coming from the engine !

After some diagnostics in to what could be making the noise we identified the crank pulley has completely worn out 😮

Replacement of the crank pulley, Auxiliary belt & tensioner had this customer back enjoying peace and quiet ! 🪷

Don't put up with those odd noises and pesky squeaks !

Our customer reported an oil leak around the back of his engine so naturally we jumped straight on to finding the issue on this BMW 1 Series.

We quickly identified where the leak was coming from and as we expected it was from the cam cover gasket - A common issue for these engines ! 😮‍💨

After discussing the findings with the customer we cracked on and removed the cam cover and replaced the gasket - Once the gasket was replaced, oil cleaned up & the mating faces all cleaned up we could re assemble with all new injector washers & get the customer back on the road in no time !

Another busy day in the workshop!

This Ford Focus Titanium was recovered to us with a loss of engine power, upon carrying out diagnostics we found that the engine had unfortunately left us for greener pastures!

Once we had confirmed the engine failure we were in constant communication with the owners and made a plan to get the vehicle back on the road.

A new engine was fitted with a new clutch, glow plugs, Major service kit & all gaskets replaced to ensure our quality standards were met, We even arranged an MOT to make the car completely roadworthy again!

Whilst this was all happening we kept the customer informed with regular updates so they were with us every step of the way! 📱

Another job completed recently in the workshop on this MK4 Golf GTI 🚙

The inner CV boot had split, allowing grease out and leaving the CV joint vulnerable to dirt and moisture. We replaced the boot, cleaned everything up and got it back together ready for plenty more miles. 🛠️

A small component, but an important one! A split or damaged CV boot can also result in an MOT failure, so it’s definitely something to keep on top of!
