Skoda Octavia, came in with a water leak. Had previously had the waerpump done (70K ago) had the same symptoms. Once we had remove the water pump it was obvious that the water pump sleeve was stuck in the closed position. Thus stopping the flow of coolant round the engine. Once changed the coolant flowed freely and no longer leaked.

Sometimes cars like to breath as well. When was the last time your filters were changed. As you can see this was full of leaves and dirt. This could have an impact on how the car runs.

Checking brakes, on removal of the caliper the brake pads fell apart, As you can see it’s been like it for a while. Get your brakes checked.

We haven’t updated for a while. There has been so much happening, and quite honestly, it has been horrendous.

After surpassing his prognosis and doing so well, Andrew has rapidly declined in the past 7 weeks.

His entire left side is now affected. He can no longer walk or move without assistance. His speech is nearly gone, and communicating has become incredibly difficult. He relies heavily on gestures and text to make himself understood. He’s frustrated and it is heartbreaking to watch.

Since our last update, Andrew managed to travel to Germany for his final vaccine. We are clinging to the hope that it will take effect soon, because right now the effects of the tumour are taking over, and our hope is diminishing.

We are frightened. There have been tears, incredibly difficult conversations and some very honest discussions between Andrew, Sally and all of the professionals involved in his care.

Last week, we were beginning to come to terms with the possibility that we may have to make the heartbreaking decision to do no more. Andrew’s steroid dose has increased, creating some glimmers of improvement, but sadly, it’s not enough and there are no other options here other than to keep him comfortable.

We are tired. We are terrified. We are deflated. But amongst all of this, Andrew very recently communicated:

“I want to live.”

As his family, we are here to advocate for him and honour what he wants. So, we are going to keep fighting alongside him.

The plan is for Andrew to return to Germany very soon to access another week of treatment, including Avastin. We believe this could give him a chance of regaining some of the movement and speech that he has lost. The tumour is showing progression on the MRI with lots of swelling surrounding it. Avastin can reduce this swelling and make a huge different to Andrew’s quality of life, as it has done so before.

But the reality is that we cannot do any more without help.

Our funds are now incredibly low. We hope to bring back some of our fundraising nights when we can, but right now our priority as a family is being with Andrew and organising the care and treatment he needs.

So today, we are resharing Andrew’s fundraising page, the page we started almost a year ago, and desperately asking for your help.

Andrew will need £8,000 for his next round of treatment.

We know how much we have already asked of everyone, and we will never take a single gesture of kindness for granted.

And as long as Andrew is willing to fight, so are we.

Where there’s life, there’s hope.

Customer calls to say they think a dead animal is in the exhaust. On closer inspection the inners of the exhaust have passed through the exhaust and the exhaust has exploded.
