Volvo V40 2.0D D2 150 Stage 1 Remap
This arrived having already remapped elsewhere very badly.
The customer contacted us after having no success with the previous remap done elsewhere, anything more than around 70% throttle and the car would go straight into limp mode to protect itself, we agreed we would have the car in to investigate.
Once on the Dyno and data logging had been carried out the fault was obvious, massive turbo overboost, close to 500mb of it. Now on to determine the cause of the dramatic overboost.
We set the vehicle back to factory software and the data logs were back to normal so we proceeded to retune the car carefully and closely monitor how it responded, very well indeed was the answer, a great result all round and thankfully not a broken car as both ourselves and the owner suspected.
A test drive and a short data log by the previous tuner would have prevented this post. You can get lucky with flash and dash map but you can end up like this.
