🔧 Porsche 911 – Sticking Brake Pedal Fix 🏁

This Porsche 911 Carrera S 991.1 came into CarTech with a common and important fault — the brake pedal was sticking and not returning correctly. Meaning there was drag on the brakes whilst driving and the car was also keeping the brake lights illuminated when the car was driving.

After carrying out a full inspection and diagnosis, we identified the cause, completed the necessary repair using Genuine Porsche parts and tested the braking system to make sure the pedal was operating smoothly and returning exactly as it should. ✅

🔧 AUDI S3 – RAC WARRANTY REPAIR 🔧

This Audi S3 came into us with a fault with the rear wiper.

We diagnosed the issue down to a failed rear wiper motor, then dealt with the RAC warranty and got everything approved.

Once the car was back with us, we got straight to work and replaced the faulty motor, tested everything and got the rear wiper working as it should. ✅

🔧 BMW 320i – PDC FAULT DIAGNOSED & REPAIRED 🔧

This BMW 320i came to us from TrustFord with a PDC fault.

After carrying out a full diagnostic check and testing the PDC system, we narrowed the issue down to a faulty parking sensor AND a burst/damaged wire.

We replaced the faulty sensor, repaired the wiring, cleared the faults and fully tested the system — PDC back working exactly as it should! ✅

🚨 ANOTHER VAN THAT NEEDED PROPER DIAGNOSTICS! 🚨

This Ford Transit came to us after having a reconditioned engine fitted elsewhere…

Problem? It wouldn’t run properly and was constantly misfiring across all cylinders. 😤

Rather than guessing and throwing parts at it, we went straight into the diagnostics 🔍

🔧 Full wiring checks from ECU to injectors
❌ Injector plugs 1 & 2 had been mixed up
❌ Injector 3 was faulty

We corrected the injector wiring, replaced injector 3 and BOOM — the Transit was running perfectly! 💥

But we didn’t stop there…

🚨 BMW 335D N57 — BOOST PROBLEM DIAGNOSED & FIXED! 🚨

This BMW 335D N57 came into us with a boost issue, so we got straight to work diagnosing the problem.

After checking the turbos, boost solenoids and associated components, we narrowed the fault down to a coked-up intake manifold and cylinder head, restricting airflow and affecting the engine’s performance. 🔧

We carried out a full de-coke of the intake system and cylinder head, restoring airflow and helping the engine breathe as it should.

✅ Benefits of de-coking include:
• Improved airflow & engine breathing

• Improved throttle response

🔧 BMW 435D N57 ENGINE OVERHAUL 🔧

Another major job completed in the workshop on this BMW 435D with the N57 engine.

We carried out a full engine overhaul using genuine BMW components throughout, including:

✅ Genuine big-end bearings
✅ Genuine main bearings
✅ Genuine oil pump
✅ Genuine timing chains & guides
✅ Genuine gaskets

After fitting the main bearings, we measured the bearing clearances using the Plastigauge technique. This allowed us to confirm that the correct colour-coded BMW main bearings had been fitted and that the clearances were within specification.

As part of the job, we also replaced the inlet manifold and coolant fl**ge as preventative maintenance, helping to address common areas before they become future problems.

We also carried out a steering rack repair, getting the vehicle back to the customer fully repaired and ready for the road.
