East Dunbartonshire area (mainly Bishopbriggs)
Many people will have started to notice many roads being reduced to 20mph across the area. There are many contradictory signs and confusion as the continue their work. The way in which the roll out has happened/continues to happen, in my opinion, has been shambolic.
While I understand it takes time, there are contradictory signs e.g. repeater 40 signs in the middle of the new 20s.
There are no signs telling us that speed limits have changed.
There are signs where they are not needed (entering roads where the speed limit has not changed but the 'change of' signs are present).
While I have my own views on the reduction of the speed limits, we have to abide by them. The harassment from other drivers we have experienced so far has been awful. My pupils have been beeped at, tail gated and dangerous overtaking has taken place.
Complain to EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL, don't take it out on us!
