Another 2 excellent first time passes to announce!

First up was Jaweria(who's a little camera shy 😄) who passed with only a few driving faults around a tricky route in Shieldhall!

And this week it was the turn of Max, who again dealt with the busy roads around Govan and Hillington to come back with an excellent first time pass!

They both worked hard on their lessosns and will have there licences just in time for going to university and maybe avoiding some of those bus journeys!

What a week!

3 out of 3 first time passes✅️✅️✅️

First up, last week was Rosie. Having moved to the West End of Glasgow to go to university. Rosie decided to start up her lessons again after having done some driving over in North Berwick.

We worked on navigating the busy and tight streets of Glasgow which were a little different to what she had experienced before.!
An excellent pass, which im sure will make getting to her hospital placements a little easier now! 😃

Next up with a weekend test was Grace!

Grace managed to get a last minute cancellation for before she went on holiday.... the only problem was, it was in Paisley... having done most her training near Shieldhall!

After a couple of lessons over near the test centre to get her bearings, Grace stepped up to the challenge with a near perfect pass!

It was great to be able to help Grace, especially as I've known her for some time before she started lessons, as part of the football team I help coach. Hopefully the first of many of the team to be on the roads over the next year or so ⚽️

And finally today it was the turn of Alice!

Alice works in East Kilbride but her test was at Shieldhall, so she gained some excellent experience on a variety of roads, including plenty motorway practice!

Another excellent 1st time pass to round off the week.

🌞☀️A superb start to the summer holidays! 🌞☀️

A huge congratulations goes to Joseph, who passed his test yesterday at Shieldhall. An amazing first time pass with only 2 minor driving faults!

Joseph really mastered the art of commentary driving, a skill that is great for keeping focus and, as an instructor, it helps me to know he is thinking about the correct things at the correct time!

He carried this on to his test and the examiner was really impressed with it! Joes "eyes lit up" when he saw the blue pass certificate come out 🤩

🌟5 in a row! 🌟

A lovely run of 5 test passes in a row rounds of a successful few weeks on the roads.

A great couple of first time passes caps it off nicely! Huge congratulations go to Victoria and Luke with only 3 driving faults each.

Special mention to Luke and to Orla, who are step brother/sister (pictured).

Its always nice to teach siblings and get recommended by family members and even better when they can pass within a few weeks of each other!

🌞🌞The sun came out yesterday morning to help celebrate an amazing pass for Jody at Shieldhall!🌞🌞

The pure joy, emotion and colourful language when we found out the result was something I will never forget! Even one of the senior examiners was caught up in the celebrations! 😄

Jody and I have been on a journey over the last couple of years and I don't mean just getting from A to B. There has been many ups and downs with her driving but what I admire most is her desire and determination to achieve what she wanted to and to finally get her licence.

There have been moments when she wanted to give up but the very next week she would be back and willing to learn and improve. After Jody's previous test at the end of last year where she very narrowly failed, she came back with a new found determination and her driving over the last few months has been excellent... Jody was rewarded with an near perfect pass on a tricky route 🤩

We built up a good friendship over the course of her lessons and I will definitely miss her chat.... stories of her nights out and adventures on her holidays... there was never a dull moment! I'm sure on some occasions if I didn't tell her to shut up and start the engine then I would have spent the whole lesson listening to one of her rants! 🤣

I know this achievement will really make a difference in Jody's life and I hope it gives her the confidence and freedom to really push on.

Its been a busy Easter fortnight, with lots of schools on holiday and exam leave starting. My diary has been a little all over the place but its been great to be able to fit in so many of my current students and start some new ones too.

A huge congratulations go to Darcie for an excellent pass over at Shieldhall with only 3 minor driving faults! Its always an amazing feeling to help my students achieve their goal of getting a full license, and Darcie can now add this to her list of many talents. Hope to see you on the roads soon 🟢

ZERO FAULTS!!

Another week and another amazing pass!!

This time it was Ellie's turn around the infamous Shieldhall test routes!

Dodging potholes and negotiating tricky roundabouts ( in particular the Hillington ones 😬), Ellie absolutely smashed it with a flawless test pass.

To get through the test without any faults is a great achievement and doesn't happen very often so I'm very proud of her and she should be proud of herself too!

Huge congratulations to Sarah for an amazing pass over at Paisley test centre!

Sarah has been taking lessons on and off for a wee while with me, mostly due to the ridiculous test waiting times. But the positives of that means that she has been able to drive in a wide variety of conditions.... Night driving, all weather conditions and all sorts of times of the day, from rush hour to early morning quiet roads. This experience is priceless and sets you up for safe driving for life.

Our lessons were always fun and im really happy that Sarah was rewarded with her pass. She deserves it for for all her hard work and I know it will make a big difference for her to have her licence

What better way to round off the long cold month of January than with an amazing first time pass!

Huge congratulations goes to Matthew, who did exceptionally well with only 2 driving faults!

Matthew focused on getting in plenty private practice in the run up to his test, around some tricky areas to supplement his lessons with me, and was rewarded with a great first time pass.
