Discover what makes our Cab special in Episode 3!

This episode of the HVS Technology series focuses on the ergonomic cab design of HVS' hydrogen-powered trucks. Following the EU legislation change on cab length restrictions, HVS saw an opportunity to design a spacious and aerodynamic cab that not only enhances driver comfort but also improves safety and manoeuvrability.

The extended cab, which is 800mm longer than traditional designs, allows for the integration of advanced safety systems and features that facilitate cyclist detection and improved field of vision.

Celebrating World Hydrogen Day with HVS Technology!

In honour of World Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day on October 8th, we are excited to launch the HVS Demo Technology Highlights series, a weekly series of short videos highlighting the innovative design features that make the HVS’ technology demonstrator.

World Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day is annually recognised on October 8th. Established in 2015 by the US Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association.

This day draws attention to the crucial role that hydrogen plays in driving a sustainable future whilst encouraging the energy transition in transport and heavy industries, supporting sustainable business practices. An ethos that echoes HVS' values, represented in their hydrogen fuel cell trucks which emit only water, making them a key solution in efforts to decarbonise the road transport sector.

Episode one introduces the Demo and sees HVS’ Chief Technical Officer, Steve Fletcher CEng FIMechE, talk about the HVS Hydrogen Powertrain found in the HGV Demo, a significant milestone in our journey toward production-ready designs.

HVS was proudly invited to join Hydrogen UK at their Parliamentary Reception at the House of Commons. HVS' Managing Director Ian Palmer had the pleasure of meeting with Minister Sarah Jones and Hydrogen UK’s CEO Clare Jackson to discuss HVS' scale-up plans.

The event provided an incredible opportunity to engage with key stakeholders from across the UK’s hydrogen sector, alongside prominent Parliamentarians, offering valuable insights into the future launch of the UK Hydrogen Supply Chain Strategic Assessment.

This analysis, supported by the Hydrogen Delivery Council, underscored the UK's strengths in the hydrogen value chain and identified high-value opportunities that will position the nation as a global leader in low-carbon hydrogen—an approach that perfectly aligns with HVS' core values and manufacturing strategy.
