🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE – OUR WORKSHOP MOVE 🚨

With our move to our new workshop in Carluke now underway and lots of planning taking place behind the scenes, we wanted to give all our customers plenty of notice about some temporary changes to our availability. 🏗️🚐

📅 There will be approximately 2 weeks during October where we will not be taking any new bookings, so please bear this in mind if your caravan, motorhome or trailer is due a service or habitation check around this time.

⚠️ The final week of October is especially important. This is when the bulk of the move will be taking place, so our phone lines and emails may not be monitored during this week while we concentrate on getting everything moved and set up.

Just to make things completely clear:

✅ All jobs booked up to 31st October 2026 will be carried out at our current workshop on Young Road, Lanark.

🏁 From 1st November 2026, Kirk Caravan Service will be operating from our brand-new premises in Carluke, right beside the train station. 🚉

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we make this exciting move. It’s a big step forward for the business, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you all to our new workshop! 🙌

If your vehicle is due a service, habitation check or other work around October, please don’t leave it until the last minute — get in touch and get booked in early.

Since september 2004 all leisure accommodation vehicles should be fitted with with a fixed bulkhead mounted regulator regulating at 30mbar and not the older bottle mounted 28mbar and 37mbar , cutting hoses and joining like this is not allowed and can be dangerous

Why You Cannot Combine Them
• Double Regulation: Connecting two regulators in a row causes excessive pressure drops or blocks the gas flow completely.
• Incorrect Pressure: Truma bulkhead regulators are designed to regulate high cylinder pressure down to a specific working pressure (standard 30 mbar). Putting an on-bottle regulator first starves the Truma unit of the required inlet pressure.
• Safety and Compliance: Leisure vehicle systems are certified for one primary pressure reduction stage (the bulkhead regulator) paired with high-pressure hose pigtails usually 450mm in length.
