Vauxhall Grandland 2019 just on 40.000 miles looks like previously had wet belt , oil pressure light coming on , timing belt residue like caviar in oil pump pick up someone previously overkeen with wrong type of sealer and a wee bit of timing belt residue stopped by vacuum pump filter and close to no brake assist ! New wet belts full clean out and proper oil and o e filter done and tested this engine common to Peugeot , Citroen and newer Vauxhalls

Yesterday was external timing belts on a 2.0 diesel V W. 4.5 years from last timing belt kit and it’s old and looks good shape compared to wet belts pictured yesterday lots of stripping to get in to it pictures with timing pins and bracket on crank for set up hope this is of interest

Wet belt change today Vauxhall grand land , same as citroen c3 Peugeot 208 and new corsa same engine 45,000 miles 7 years old one year over now doing lots of them as oil pick up being blocked by belt breaking up and fatigue !
Change oil and filter yearly always top up oil and change wet belt 6 years on these engines
A lit of them you can see wet belt and cracks through oil cap
