What do you do when you stay on Islay and your local Volvo Main Dealer won’t code your towbar?

You call Voltech. 📞

Mr Trakiel had already fitted a genuine Volvo towbar and module himself 👏

He just needed the finishing touches to the wiring and the modules coded.

So he called his local Volvo Main Dealer.

Their response?

“No, we didn’t fit it.”

So he called Voltech.

“Of course we can.” 👨‍💻

And yes… before anyone asks, he wears his car keys around his neck…

When you stay on an island, losing your keys probably involves a ferry, a search party and three days of annual leave. 🤷‍♂️

That’s how long this gentleman has travelled to get his Volvo serviced at Voltech Glasgow. 👀

And they call him… the Knight Rider.

No, not The Hoff.

The actual Knight Rider. 😏

The car?

KITT.

Mr Saurin’s V70 D4 SE Lux was previously owned in Glasgow, and we looked after it for its previous owner.

The car eventually moved to the Outer Hebrides…

But KITT found his way back home.

So, a 16-hour round trip later, here they are.

We’ll take that as a compliment. 🤝
