Is your pupil heading to Uni ?

Every September a few of your pupils will tell you they’re off to university. Here’s the one bit of test admin that will be different this year.

Since 9 June 2026 the rules changed. A learner can still book a brand new test at any centre in the country, home or uni, wherever they’ll actually sit it. What they can’t do is book near home and then shift it to uni later, because a booked test can now only move to one of the three nearest centres to where it sits.

So the advice is simple. Work out where they’re testing before they book, not after. If they’ll be based at uni most of the year, book the uni centre from the start. If they’re testing back home in the holidays, book home. Choose once and leave it alone. (As copied)
