My congratulations this time goes to Mr Declan White on passing his driving test this afternoon at Bishopbriggs Driving Test Centre. As assured a driver Declan was, nerves can still play a big part on test day. The key is understanding how to channel it to the right avenues. After a nervous pre-test drive, a quick pep chat was on order. Once we re-established ourselves on how we got to this stage of our driving development, the next step is to show the examiner. And showing the examiner Declan duly did coming back with an excellent FIRST TIME pass with compliments from the examiner. Superb stuff!πŸ‘

Was an absolute pleasure teaching you Declan and helping you on your way to gaining your new found freedom. You have proved to yourself that if you put your mind to the task anything is possible. Wishing you the very best in your future driving experiences. Well done again!πŸ‘πŸš—πŸΎπŸŽ‰πŸ₯³

My congratulations this time goes to Mr Edson Neto on passing his driving test this morning at Bishopbriggs Driving Test Centre. Edson came to me having had previous driving experience at his native country and, adapting to a different style of driving in a foreign country will always pose a challenge. But with sheer determination and patience, Edson made light work of such challenges and breezed through his driving test with just 1 driving fault and compliments from the driving examiner! Superb stuff!πŸ‘

Was an absolute pleasure teaching you Edson and helping you gain your new-found freedom. You have more than earned this through all the hard work you have put in. I know how much this driving licence means to you and your growing family. Just want to say well done again and wish you all the very best in your future driving experiences.πŸ‘πŸš—πŸΎπŸŽ‰πŸ₯³

My congratulations this time goes to Mr Christopher Fern on passing his driving test this afternoon at Bishopbriggs Driving Test Centre. Test day normally brings with it a mixture of emotions. The most overriding emotion before any test is nerves. The key to it is to understand how to channel the nerves to the right part of your body, let it act as an adrenaline booster if you will. And that was exactly what Chris had to do. A small pep chat before the test to reassure Chris, YOU CAN DO IT! And rightly so, he only went and delivered a fantastic FIRST TIME pass coming back with only 2 driver faults with added compliments from the examiner! Top stuff!!πŸ‘

Was a long time coming Chris but you have finally delivered and have earned yourself your new found freedom! Was an absolute pleasure teaching you. Whenever you feel ready for the motorway lessons just get back to me and I'll sort you out. Well done again Chris!πŸ‘πŸΎπŸš—πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³

My congratulations this time goes to Mr David McCourt on passing his driving test this morning at Bishopbriggs Driving Test Centre. From the beginning, it was evident David had an eye for detail. Ever critical of his drive when things don't go his way, he would bounce back in the next lesson to assure himself that it would not happen again. That is the makings of a good driver, willing to identify the wrongs and working hard to make sure it was just a small blip. And when test day arrived, he only went and aced the test coming back with a brilliant FIRST TIME pass with only 1 driving fault! Superb result!πŸ‘

Was an absolute pleasure teaching you David. At times, it felt our constant footie chat would get in the way of our lessons!πŸ˜† Will definitely miss our chats! Wishing you all the very best in your future driving experiences. Should you wish to explore motorway driving, you know where to find me. Well done again mate!πŸ‘πŸΎπŸš—πŸ₯³πŸŽ‰

Lets see who can spot the problem on this clip..........................................................Got it?? Great! Well done!πŸ‘

Not yet? Ok, let me explain.

If you are turning from major to minor road with oncoming car close by, who has priority? Correct, the oncoming car. This is due to the fact you are CROSSING the path of traffic. Looking at the clip and diagram, not one but TWO vehicles struggled to understand this concept! Car 2 SHOULD AND MUST giveway to Car 1 for the exact reasons as above. It really baffles me some of the standard of drivers that are on the roads! Luckily my pupil had very quick reactions to spot the vehicles!

More on what driving instructors have to put up with!😠

Pupil on their very first lesson, going through the controls lesson and then......well......all I can say is, there is no need for this! Public road, nowhere near his driveway! The entitlement of some people! I'm just glad that my pupil has a very good sense of humour! (Skip to near the end for the surprise!)πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

My congratulations this time goes to Mr Connor Gallagher on passing his driving test this afternoon at Bishopbriggs Driving Test Centre. From one thing to another, commitments got in the way of Connor from sitting his driving test earlier. When he finally had time to take stock and prioritise matters, he was fully focused and in 'the zone'! This was fully demonstrated when he came back with a fantastic FIRST TIME pass! Superb work!!πŸ‘

Was a pleasure to finally get you over the line Connor. Was a long time coming but, you know what they say, good things comes to those who wait! Wishing you all the very best in your future driving experiences. Well done again Connor!!πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ₯³πŸš—πŸŽ‰

***OVERTAKING***

When is the correct moment to overtake? It is when you can clearly see the path ahead is clear. Not near a bend. Not over a brow of a hill. And certainly not when you add in both of the above WITH A CYCLIST! If you are not certain to overtake then DO NOT DO IT!

***DECISION MAKING***

*Yes, learner drivers are notably slower than experienced drivers. *Yes, learner drivers are inexperienced when it comes to decision making.

But when it comes from an 'EXPERIENCED DRIVER', do you think this driver made the correct decision to enter the roundabout? (Skip to 00:32)

πŸ‘ -YES ❀️ - NO

My congratulations this time goes to Miss Catherine Holland on passing her driving test this morning at Bishopbriggs Driving Test Centre. If ever there was to be a prime example of a pupil that would go through their paces from start to finish, then Catherine would undoubtedly be it!πŸ‘Œ Ever attentive to the lessons, she would work extremely hard in order to correct the wrongs to make them right. Her attention to detail was exemplary. So much so, she came back from her driving test with amazing, complimentary comments by the examiner on her FIRST TIME pass, with just a single, solitary minor fault! Fantastic!!πŸ‘

Was an absolute pleasure teaching you Catherine and helping you gain your new-found freedom. Now Craig can take a back seat and allow you to be the new designated driver!πŸ˜‰ Will definitely miss our football chats among many other topics! Wishing you the very best in your future driving experiences! Well done again!πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ₯³πŸš—πŸŽ‰
