A lower-priced part-worn might save money on the day, but you're also starting with less tread and an unknown history.

That doesn't mean every used tyre is automatically unsafe. It does mean you should know exactly what you're buying.

If by “clipped” you mean there was a thud loud enough to make you drive home with the radio or tunes turned down, give the tyre a quick look!

The alloy might get most of the attention, but a hard impact can damage your tyre sidewall too. If you spot a new cut, lump or bulge, that’s not something to ignore. Give us a call to get it checked over ASAP.

We've probably all had that moment at the petrol-station air machine.

You've got the hose attached, the screen is asking for a PSI... and suddenly you realise you don't actually know what number to put in. Here's the bit worth remembering: don't just copy the pressure written on the tyre itself.

The number you actually want is usually hiding in a much less obvious place - typically inside the driver's door or sometimes in your fuel flap.

Worth knowing before you're standing there holding up the queue. 😅

Found 10, 20 or even more tyres that all fit your car? Here's one way to narrow them down. Tyres of the same size can still perform differently, which is where the tyre label becomes useful.

It lets you compare three characteristics:

🌧️ Wet grip
⛽ Fuel efficiency
🔊 External rolling noise

So, for example, if you're comparing several tyres that all fit your car, the label gives you another way to understand what you're getting rather than making the decision on price alone.
