In recognition of National Inclusion Week, we wanted to share the story of Cole, an Apprentice Technician from our Perth depot. 🎓
Cole joined the team in 2025 and is now entering his final year.
Like many young people starting a new chapter, Cole was understandably nervous when he joined us. His first day at college meant being away from home, adapting to a new environment, and meeting lots of new people.
However, with the support of his mentor and colleagues, Cole quickly grew in confidence and is now only a few blocks away from completing his apprenticeship! 👏
Earlier this year, Cole asked for three weeks off to fulfil a lifelong dream of travelling to Australia. This came as an initial shock to the whole team, from someone who had once been hesitant about spending time away from home to now planning to travel to the other side of the world solo! 🦘

Quite a transformation from the nervous young man who first walked through our doors to the confident individual now travelling the world on his own!
Cole also got the chance to visit the Volvo Trucks Australia dealer in Sydney and received a two-hour personal tour of the workshop.
