So the 2023/24 National Hunt racing season has come to an end. JP McManus has been crowned as top owner, but here in sleepy Figheldean, Christine and I are feeling rather proud, as out of 5188 owners to have run their horses this season, we have finished 93rd in the league table.
Of course our superstar Tommie Beau has led the way with four wins, but Baby Sham (twice), Miss Fedora and Loudspeaker have also won for us.
Our immense gratitude goes out to everyone at Seamus Mullins Racing for their expertise and dedication.
Those who know me realise that it has been a challenging time for me health wise , so the support and friendship from everyone at the yard, especially the Saturday morning breakfast club, where all sorts of topics are deeply explored, unsavoury and otherwise!
Our race days have been highlights of a tricky year, none more so than Ayr last weekend, where having a horse deemed good enough to compete in The Scottish Grand National was indeed a privilege.

Early starts and late finishes must be tolerated, Monday to Friday only. Must be confident with driving our single car flatbed car transporter on occasions, be competent with basic paperwork and, above all, have a positive willingness to work and a pleasant demeanour in customer facing situations.
