We’re proud to deepen our partnership with First Bus through our largest turnkey BESS project to date and expansion across six First Bus sites - a major milestone in the decarbonisation of public transport infrastructure.

The centerpiece of this expansion is a 2.15MW/4.2MWh Palmer Giga BESS and MV Station being deployed at First Bus Aberdeen depot. This represents a significant scale-up in capacity and capability to support wider grid flexibility. Across other First Bus depots, Behind-the-Meter Palmer Mega BESS systems are being deployed to support both electric bus charging and reduce First Bus energy costs and carbon footprint.

What makes these projects different is the intelligence behind the storage system. By utilising Brill Power advanced battery intelligence layer, the system actively optimises battery performance, extends operational life, improves safety, and enables deeper operational insight across the asset lifecycle.
