🚛 Lorry Mechanic Wanted – Join Our Family-Run Team at GDS Autos!
Are you an experienced lorry mechanic looking for a new opportunity where you’re more than just a number? At GDS Autos, we’re a well-established family-run business with a proud reputation for quality work and loyal customers – and we’re looking for the right person to join our team.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of HGVs and commercial vehicles. We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a good eye for detail, and a passion for keeping vehicles running safely and efficiently.
Your daily tasks will include diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults, carrying out routine inspections, and performing preventative maintenance. You’ll also be expected to ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards, and to keep accurate records of any repairs or servicing completed.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on HGVs or similar vehicles. Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent are preferred, but we’re open to speaking with candidates who have hands-on experience and a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to the workshop. An HGV licence is a bonus, but not essential.
