Another poorly transit wetbelt failing blocked and siezed vac pump and damaged camshafts.
Expensive repair for the customer due to lack of servicing vehicle only 4 year old with 60k on 🙈
Remember to keep on top of your servicing i personally do my van every6k miles to avoid this!

Another busy week so far!
A diagnostic call out for a none start.
Vehicle had been recovered for running out of fuel.
Customer had a fuel assit company come out after rac said vehicle had been filled with petrol and wouldnt touch it 💁‍♂️
Fuel drained and refilled with new diesel and vehicle still wouldn't start.

This is where we were called upon
Found cam correlation fault codes logged and starter booting out after a few seconds.
Upon further diagnostics we discovered it had shredded the teeth from the belt and the camshafts were not even turning. All rockers were smashed when we removed the top half.
This is by far the worst wetbelt I've seen to date 🤣

We initially thought we'd get away with a new wetbelt kit and cam box assembly but decided to dig deeper just to be safee!
We checked the cylinders with a camera and found piston damage x2 and oil in cylinder 3 with the walls scored!

We sourced a 2nd hand engine to keep costs down removed the old engine swapped everything that was required with a new wetbelt and covers etc and had the vehicle back on the road within 24 hours!

Weird one today attended car in which a customer wanted a second opinion as they had been quoted £1000s for a repair and a full new fuel system. car would barely start low fuel pressure codes and were told it needed a fuel pump Injectors and fuel pressure sensor by a local garage and rac. We attended checked the codes and the basics and found the fuel filter absolutely starved blocking fuel flow to the main pump.
new filter in and system bled up and away she went starts on the button everytime.
The importance of doing checks and not firing parts at a vehicle! Thousands saved and one happy customer!

Seen this happen a a few times recently 🙈
