Well it's time for two local closed road rallies this weekend and Whickham & District Motor Club have several crews out competing on both the Jim Clark and JC Reivers rallies.

On Friday/Saturday Jim Clark rally we have:
Car 16 - Ian Bainbridge and Andrew Roughhead in their new Toyota.
Car 47 - Phil Sandham is sitting alongside Stevie Irwin in the Nova.
Car 50 - Sees Pete and Drew Gibson out in their Evo.
Car 83 - It's Phil and Jack Morton in that lovely Datsun.
Car 104 - Richard Holdsworth is out with Liam Charlton alongside him in the navigators seat.

On Sunday the JC Reivers rally line up includes:
Car 10 - Ian and Andrew are brave enough to take on both events!
Car 77 - Simon Jennings and Greg Bates are out in the Nova.
Car 78 - Phil Sandham has switched to a Subaru to sit alongside Willie Beattie.
Car 99 - Kevin Knox and Mark Mason are out in Kevin's trusty Chrysler Sunbeam.
Car 126 - Malcolm and Richard Holdsworth are running in the historic section in Malcolm's Es**rt.

Quiz night is well underway with members from Whickham, Hexham, Hadrian, Durham and Hartlepool taking part.

At the halfway point Tosh got bonus points for most grub on a single plate from the buffet. 😉

Spadeadam Motor Club are are looking for marshals (and competitors) for their popular Blue Streak targa rally in June.

Our Chief Marshal (Ken) is running a test on this event so if you're able to support Spadeadam Motor Club and the Whickham marshals get in touch. 😎

Phil Sandham is one of our busiest club members! Phil was out a couple of weeks ago with Nick Dobson competing on Rally North Wales in Nick's MK2 Es**rt.

The pair finished with a class win in the under 2000cc class and also a win in their BTRDA class too. 👏

Phil and Nick will be out again this weekend in Kielder on the Kielder Forest Rally so we wish them the best of luck for another solid result. 🤞👍

Two very different days out last month including a very wet and windy day marshalling on the first running of the Yorkshire Dales Rally. A big thank you to Gordon 👏

Jonny Chrisp was down at Teesside 'drifting' the Chrisp Motorsport 4 litre V8 Volvo like a hooligan. 💪 (Tyre sponsor required 😆 Contact Tony 📞)

And Simon and Greg went all the way down to Weston Park for a run around the old Lombard Rally stage in the Vauxhall Nova.
