Vehicle theft in the North of England is a significant concern with cities like Leeds, Bradford, Manchester and Sheffield consistently appearing in UK top 10 hotspots.

As of mid-2025, West Yorkshire recorded roughly 6,029 thefts (one in 227 vehicles), while South Yorkshire reported 4,603, marking them as high-risk areas alongside Greater Manchester.

While everyday cars are frequently taken high-value & premium vehicles are frequently targeted.
