Wetbelt Wednesday!!!

As all of our customers know, we love a timing belt/chain here at GOODSIRS! ⏱️🏁

However the 1.0 ford eco boost was the only timing belt we shied away from…..

Until now!!!!!

We have now purchased the tools and got stuck in to help this local business out, saving them minimal down time.

As you can see from the picture, this belt started to degrade which blocked the oil pickup and started to cause oil pressure faults.

We are looking for an additional new team member to join Goodsir Automotive

As a productive member of the team you will spend time in the Workshop maintaining vehicles to high standards, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.

Day to day roles will include;

Use of diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults
Testing of parts and systems to ensure correct working· Following checklists to ensure all critical parts of vehicles are examined
Carrying out bumper to bumper overview, service and inspection
Maintenance of electronic systems including on board entertainment systems
Undertaking repair and maintenance of vehicle parts including clutches, gearboxes, tyres, brakes and suspension.
Completion of legible and accurate paperwork for the customers and centres records.
Maintenance of a clean and tidy work environment.
Must Have a full English driving license

MOT testing qualification not essential. Willing to put right candidate through course

Hours Mon-Frid 8-5, Sat 8-12(optional

Salary upto £19ph upon experience (Overtime rate from 40 hours)

Pay: £13.00-£19.00 per hour

Movember is now over and the results are in….

£1511.00 raised!!!! Absolutely incredible!!

Firstly we would like to say a huge thank you to our kind customers for all your donations and support.

What a lovely charity and one close to the heart at Team Goodsir. Emotions were high when we all saw how much it meant to the ladies when they received the donation! We have already agreed to carry out further charity work to support them in taking the children to Disney Land 🎢🎢 another cause we cannot wait to get involved in.

Finally thank you so much to the team for getting involved in making a difference, proud of you all!!

To all of our customers and local community!! I know I’m a little late posting but rest assured we are well on with growing and raising money!!!!

Please help us to raise money as our staff grow Movembers to help support Magic Moments for Autistic Kids

A little bit about the local charity we will be supporting… Founded in 2002, we are a registered charity set up to help kids on the autistic spectrum and their families. We raise funds so we can turn their dreams into reality, and give them the help and support they need, as well as give help and support to their families. Winners of the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2009, we are located on Market Hill, Scunthorpe.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated, please come to the garages to donate and support the lads!!!

Timing Change Thursday ⏳⌛️

Full day for the lads carrying out timing gear replacements on both below vehicles!!

Jaguar XF sport 4wd
Vehicle in for timing chain replacement. Which we now offer as a garage. With main dealer tools and Kev with 20 years Land Rover experience to carry out such work ✅✅

VW crafter
Vehicle in for oil leak, Mikey diagnosed as crank seal, timing belt and sump removed, crank seal replaced, renewed oil pump belt and timing belt kit, refitted sump. Oil leak repaired ✅✅

We throughly enjoyed being Easter bunny today for our annual Easter egg donation with over 100 eggs going to our local nursery, Happy Days Day Nursery! We hope all of the children love their eggs & sweet treats!
