Woosh! and Wednesday is done.
Another super busy day today at the mono motorcycles workshop.
First up we welcomed back a CCM Six for an annual service and MOT. During the service it was noted that the fuel pump is failing. This will be addressed at another booking.
Next up we welcomed back a Triumph T100 for new front discs and pads.
We also undertook an investigation into a rough running Yamaha MT125. Under investigation it was found that the bike had no coolant in it at all. Despite having good compression and Daniel resetting the cam timing as it was out by 2 teeth, the bike still would not rev above 4K and the engine has a very harsh rattle. We suspect that where the bike has been run with no coolant in it, it may have bent a valve or spring or the camshaft may have been damaged while the bike overheated. The bike will need a top end strip down to assess this.
Next up we welcomed a KTM 1290 Superduke for an annual service and rear tyre. During the rear tyre fitting Oaklie could hear something rattling around inside the tyre when we removed the wheel. It transpired it was the tyre pressure monitor which was in pieces and rattling around.
We also welcomed a Triumph Tiger GT pro today for new tyres and rear brake pads and a Honda CB500X for a new set of Dunlop Mutant's. Dunlop Mutant tyres are part of the Dunlop cash back offer and our customer will receive £40.00 back on his brand new tyres.

Check out this fantastic bit of customisation on a CCM SIX Daniel has completed for one of our customers with a full dash upgrade.

We have used the motogadget Chronoclassic 2 Dash and our bespoke top yoke. The switches have been replaced with Renard momentary push switches which are all controlled effortlessly by Axel Joost switch relays.

Another intensely busy day at the mono motorcycles workshop.
This morning Oaklie finished putting the Kawasaki H2 back together and then Daniel took it for a test run. His exact words were on his return "all of my future bikes need to have a supercharger" Nuff said!
Jack undertook an oil change on a Honda PCX125 and then an annual service on a Triumph Tiger 800 XRX and then Daniel completed an MOT.
Oaklie then started the major service on a Triumph Tiger Rally Pro and replaced the front brake discs.
We then drained the tank on a BMW R1200C as the fuel pump had failed. Once the pump was out it was evident why as it was full of rust. This one is ongoing.

For those who follow the TT you will know that Maria Costello MBE and Shaun Parker both sustained severe injuries as part of a side car crash at the TT last week.
Maria has sustained life changing injuries during the crash which according to her co-pilot was possibly due to them hitting a hare at 130-140mph.
Although Shaun sustained chest, leg, face and arm injuries, Maria’s injuries are severe:

Currently paralysed from T5/T6 down
Broken back (T5 and T6 vertebrae)
Broken arm
Multiple broken ribs
Grade 4 Large Liver Laceration
Broken nose
Broken eye socket
Lacerations between her eyes
Broken sternum

We wish Maria well on her journey to recovery and we know her fighting spirit will be with her every step of the way.

"I (the red head in the photo and Director of mono motorcycles) was lucky enough to meet Maria in 2018 and she was such an incredible person, full of positivity and kindness. What an absolute legend this lady is and such an inspiration to so many people and a trailblazer for women in motorsport" from Katy.

They have started a go fund me page to support Maria’s recovery and rehabilitation. 💔
