Austin Morris Services Professional body repairs, high quality re-sprays, insurance repairs on classic cars.

I started this business back in 1993 with the aim of specialising in BMC Minis and all BMC/British Leyland cars. Having spent most of my adult life tinkering with these cars I have a wide ranging knowledge of most types including Marinas, Minors, 1100/1300`s, Dolomites, Sprites, Midgets, MGB`s and Minis. I have recently moved premises to a slightly larger workshop in Afton road Freshwater, where I

can work on several cars at once. Over the years I have restored dozens of Classics ranging from the humble Mini to Aston Martin DB6`s, I believe in giving my customers a good value for money service and quality of workmanship, all my work is guaranteed for 3 years. I also carry out body repairs to Modern cars such as minor shunts and car park scrapes etc. All repairs are carried out on the premises including welding, panel-work, filling and paintwork to a high standard.

Well I have finally finished this little blue peril and she is on her way to her new owner, this has been a very long "hospital job" restoration, but I`m pleased with the finished car, I dragged this car out of a garden about 16 years ago and after starting the bodyshell around 6 years back she is now MOT`d and back on the road with a new lease of life, the colour is her original Surf Blue to which I added an Old English White roof and a nice little set of Reverse rim S wheels, interior is a Newton Commercial Powder Blue/Grey fleck vinyl as standard, as I could not find a decent 850 block she is upgraded to a nice little 998 unit but I did keep that lovely "Magic wand" gearbox so she looked right and still felt like an early 850 to drive.....

Something a little different this week, this old girl was in a sorry state a few years back, the owner has been welding, patching and generally getting the body to a point where he could do no more, filler and paint were just not his thing😉, so enter me to see what we could do, well 4 weeks later she was at the paint stage and after some discussion we opted for a colour I personally recommended (because I really think it suits a 60`s sports car), Austin Healey Ice Blue, prepped and painted, just the doors and bonnet/boot to go and another Alpine will be back on the road in no time...

Nice little TT in for a tidy up last week, nothing serious just the usual scrapes and surface rust on the arches, so a repaint of the lower half was needed to bring her back to life!, hard to think these little beauties are over 20 years old now!
