🚛 We’re hiring: HGV Class 1 Driver — Framlingham

Join Fork East Ltd to deliver and collect fork trucks and other material handling equipment in our Volvo lorry. You’ll secure equipment safely, look after the lorry and give customers a friendly handover.

📍 Based at our Framlingham workshop
🕖 Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm — 40 paid hours a week
💷 £17–£18 per hour; authorised overtime above 40 hours paid at 1.5×
🏖️ 22 days’ holiday plus bank holidays

A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence and current Driver CPC are required. Training in load securing and fork truck operation can be provided.

🔧 WE'RE HIRING – WORKSHOP ENGINEER 🔧

Are you local to Framlingham and mechanically minded?
Maybe you're already working as a car, HGV, agricultural or plant mechanic and fancy a change. Or perhaps you're earlier in your career, enjoy working on cars, bikes or machinery and are looking for the opportunity to develop into an engineer.
You don't need to already be a forklift engineer.
We're looking for the right person to join our growing team at Fork East in Framlingham.
You'll be working in our workshop on everything from smaller Linde forklift trucks through to much larger specialist material handling equipment. You'll start with work suited to your existing experience, with support and training to progress as your skills develop.

💷 £30,000–£42,000 depending on experience
🕢 Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm
🔧 Overtime available
🎓 Ongoing training and development
📍 Framlingham, Suffolk

Another impressive addition to the Fork East fleet — our Kalmar DRG450-65S5E Reachstacker in action. 💪

Fork East has purchased this 45-tonne container-handling machine to strengthen our growing range of specialist heavy material-handling equipment. It is already attracting interest and may soon be heading out on hire.

🚨 Another Linde delivered – and another valued customer choosing Fork East.

We’re delighted to have supplied Clarkes of Walsham Ltd with this Linde H25D forklift truck, now delivered and straight to work.

Continued investment in quality hire equipment at Fork East.

As our customer base continues to grow, we’re committed to investing in reliable, well-specified equipment that meets the demands of the industries we support.

This Linde H35D is the latest addition to our hire fleet. With a 3,500 kg nominal capacity, 6.5-metre lift height and a specification selected for agricultural applications, it is particularly well suited to handling and stacking potato boxes.

The truck is already out on hire and working with one of our customers—demonstrating the demand for correctly specified equipment during busy agricultural periods.

Although the 2027 season may seem some way off, now is the ideal time for farms and agricultural businesses to begin discussing their future forklift requirements. Planning early gives Fork East more time to understand your operation, source or prepare the right equipment and arrange availability around your busiest periods.

If you expect to require forklifts for potato storage, box stacking or other agricultural work during the 2027 season, please contact the Fork East team early. The more notice we receive, the better we can plan and manage your requirements.

Actual lifting capacity varies according to lift height, load centre, mast configuration and fitted attachments. Always refer to the truck’s capacity plate.
