Congratulations to the happy couple! 🥂You always wish for the perfect day on your wedding day but with a small hitch of a damaged wheel and tyre down the Glen Etive Road they were diverted via our yard for a quick repair before heading off on their wedding night. Our team were glad to help and sent them on their way with a bottle of Prosecco and best wishes. 😍

On Monday 29 September and Tuesday 30 September 2025, officers from the Highland and Islands Road Policing Unit will run 4 sessions of the New Driver Early Intervention Scheme.

The sessions will each take place from 6pm and 7.45pm at Fort William Police Station and will last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes per session. The sessions are aimed at encouraging safe driving practices amongst new and learner drivers aged between 17 and 25-years old.

A hard-hitting interactive presentation will be delivered during the event to raise awareness and encourage discussion on the consequences of careless and dangerous driving, not only to themselves but their passengers and other road users. In order to maximise engagement from those in attendance, places are limited to 15 per session.

Police Constable Malcolm Cameron said: “New and young drivers will learn how to improve their own driving, ensure that their vehicle is roadworthy and kept up to date on current rules and regulations when using the road.

As we continue to expand the delivery of the presentation to reach all areas within the North, we are keen to reach out to new and young drivers, but all ages are welcome to attend.”
