Any job can go from a quick hour’s work to a day ordeal, depending on whether bolts decide to cooperate.
For example, this Range Rover Sport subframe bolt during a front ace bar replacement, added a couple of hours, while we removed other components to gain proper leverage to remove it.
A part of workshop life which can be unseen, especially when dealing with older vehicles.

Routine check is meant to uncover the usual suspects: minor leaks, worn brakes, or a bit of play in bushes.
This time, however, the news wasn’t quite so standard. During the service metal filings were found on the sump plug, when put onto paper they could be moved with a magnet. A sign that something isn’t as happy as it should be.
Sometimes a routine service can reveal issues before they become a much bigger (and more expensive) problem.
