All students and future students take note

These new DVSA rules are designed to stop bots and unfair booking systems, giving genuine learners a fairer chance at getting a test. It will mean more responsibility for learners and less flexibility with changes, so planning ahead will be more important than ever. As always, I’ll be here to guide and support my pupils through it all.

Well Jack if we have to get up at 6.15am it’s a good end when you pass your test first time with a near perfect drive and great feedback from the examiner. Now you can give Finlay a few lifts now as I’m sure you owe him a few. Well done managing them nerves which we both know hit a high point about 7.45-8.10. Well what a fabulous last test before my holiday. Another first time pass for Graeme with a perfect drive, until the adjustment in the test centre you didn’t need to do, you plonker. Nerves were managed( just) once you remembered which side the indicators were. Trust you to get a car a week before test. Now it’s your turn on the kid runs and I’m sure I will see your boy next year. Well done G👊

The rules for booking and managing car driving tests are changing.

If you've got a test booked, or you're planning to book one soon, here are the key dates you need to know:

✅ 31 March 2026 – only 2 changes can be made to a booking
✅ 12 May 2026 – only learners are allowed to book a test and make changes
✅ 9 June 2026 – learners can move their booked test only to nearby centres

What a great afternoon we both had today so well done Ben. First time pass. We had a small delay to get you back on track and last 3 weeks the extra hours we did worked a treat I think. A near perfect drive the examiner said and he very much enjoyed it after his stressful one before you with 2 dangerous faults and 2 serious faults in first 5 mins before he walked back. Super reverse park at the end too. Mum will be happy and dad too I’m sure. Get on a motorway asap too and see you about once your insured I’m sure. Drive safely Ben

What a fabulous morning we had Didnt we Orli. You go and pass your test first time early this morning with a rather impressive 0 faults. As Ray said, nothing to talk about. Great drive and a perfect reverse park in the test centre as practised 35 minutes earlier. Drive safely and good luck to you and Amber as both of you first time passers.

What a fabulous Friday morning we both had didnt we James.First time pass and you had Absolute bedlam,around castle and St marks this morning, nearly getting wiped out 3 times by idiots who don’t understand the ethos you learnt of giving way to the right on a roundabout, which did have lights but now doesnt. A near perfect drive the examiner said in very testing conditions. Go smash your exams and job done before Uni. Enjoy your Independence getting to your tennis now on your own.

Well Judy from Cuba what a fabulous last 2 weeks with lots of driving with me and hubby mark gets you the result you got early this morning. Worth the 6am start to pass your test with a perfect score of 0 faults. Not long ago you told me you couldnt do as wasnt comfortable for many reasons and we even tried to get the sat nav in Spanish( with no luck) so to perform a perfect drive feeling that nervous is some feat. Wasnt it lucky we did that route 45 mins before your test😆😆. Now to get on a motorway asap and give your daughter a nudge, especially if she passes her theory tomorrow🤞. Enjoy your long drive to work tonight😉

Today goes down as an excellent day doesn’t it Bodhi. Go and pass your test today at lunchtime with a fabulous drive down Snakeys Hill. Examiner loved the drive and I know more than most just how huge a deal this was for you. Now you can get out of the house and move forwards with your plans. I know Summer is probably still crying for you. Well done Phil today too. 👊
