We are looking for a motivated individual with an interest in internal combustion engines and hands-on machining to join our team.

This role involves reconditioning cylinder heads, performing head skimming re-facing, and working with lathes, mills, boring machines, and crankshaft equipment.

Whether you’re an experienced machinist or young apprentice with s keen willingness to learn this is a amazing opportunity for anyone who is interested in the technical side of engines.

working on a huge variety of vehicles inc classic cars ,boats, commercial vehicles.

Training can be provided for the right individual

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overhaul and repair of engines, cylinder heads including the following activities:
Refurbishment of cylinder heads
Stripping Cleaning of cylinder head components.
Valve guide replacement/reaming, seat grinding/valve lapping
Valve leak testing
General machining of cylinder heads- refacing pressure testing
use of micrometres measuring equipment etc.
Assembly of valve gear components in cylinder head
Stripping and rebuilding engines
Maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety, with commercial awareness
Accurate completion of worksheets referencing correct data in line with company procedures
Keeping the workplace tidy and clean is essential

Good working knowledge of internal combustion engines and associated components
Previous experience in piston engine restoration/refurbishment. This can be general engineering.
Operate and maintain older machinery, including lathes, mills, and boring equipment.
Uphold high standards of precision and quality in all work.
Have your own tools is required
A strong interest in internal combustion engines and mechanical work.
Basic knowledge of and experience with head skimming, facing, or reconditioning cylinder heads
Willingness to learn and work with older people
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality results.
