Our Dino 246 GT ‘E-Series’. This example really has travelled the globe, doing as many miles on water as it has on the road!
It’s history reflects this, with a wealth of documents leaving a paper trail of its travels and care, not simply a collection of oil change invoices like we see all too often these days!
It remains a very original UK RHD example, supplied to H.R. Owen in July 1972 by Maranello Concessionaires. Its first owner relocated to California where the car was shipped and spent more than 2 decades. Found by a New Zealand Ferrari enthusiast in Los Angeles, the car was shipped once again and this time to Timaru NZ.
Over the following 5 years, an extensive and correct nut-and-bolt restoration was undertaken. No stone was left unturned with a complete rebuild, including engine, gearbox, suspension, body and interior. Tracked down and subsequently purchased in 2016, it was then imported by Foskers back to the UK where it was sold later that year to a long-standing client of ours. The car has been part of a fantastic collection ever since, and used only sparingly.
Today, having covered a a mere 38,000 documented miles, this Dino 246 GT presents in superb original condition, even the interior carpets where removed as templates and sent back to Luppi, to be replicated correctly, these compliment the original Black Vinyl interior and dashboard covering perfectly .
