A few more spaces left in Nathan Ralls’ training day on the 8th August. Great for new starters to get a jump start or even experienced racers to get those extra precious tenths and build on consistency.

Having attended one of these before with both James and George, I can say it was a great way to learn new technical skills, get some good tips and tricks and find some more speed on the track - highly recommended!

Hi All,

With the forecast red weather warning over the next 48/72 hours, we've decided to cancel tomorrow's race meeting (24th June). This is to prevent unnecessary journeys and to save the effort of getting the track out and putting away in the heat.

This championship will now be reduced to 14 weeks (due to another forced closure on August 19th)

Please share this within your groups so that (hopefully) everyone gets this message!

Thanks all, see you next week.

Evening everyone,

A quick request, can you all have a check in your toolboxes and see if you’ve picked up my (Lloyd) Hi-viz?!

Thanks all, see some of you tomorrow at the 1066 Regional!

The FORCC crew were out and about again this weekend, for the 1st Round of 2WD and 2nd Round of 4WD of the Southeast Region BRCA 1/10th Off Road at Eden Park Raceway

In what may go down as the longest day of racing ever, our gang quickly got to grips with the track which was tricky in places with some tight turns, moguls and low grip on cobbled / concrete sections.

The dry conditions unfortunately made way for rain late in the afternoon just as the finals got underway. It made for some squirrely moments as cars began to pirouette down the straight and one false move meant losing track position.

A shout out to Callum for a blinding run in his final, what a great drive! Dave A for being the No.1 stand-in marshal (and for providing the Cornettos); Lloyd for not bricking it when in the lead (for once); Lochlain for some skilled driving in the wet and George for getting on the podium in his first ever wet race.

Commiserations need to go out to Shane – after some superb driving put him in the A, a re-jig of how the results were counted by race control meant that the overall qualifying positions were republished, bumping him into the B. The rain then came and well….. you can guess the rest. Let’s hope Rnd 2 is kinder!

Final Results 2WD:

A: Kyle 1st, James 6th
B: Callum 1st, Shane 5th, Dave A 7th
D: Lloyd 1st
E: Lochlain 1st, Dave W 5th, Jo 8th
F: George 3rd

4WD:

B: Lochlain 2nd
C: Dave W 2nd

A special thanks to Ed Kerry for helping George out at the end IYKYK 😉

Pics will be posted on the next write up as presentations will be held on Sunday 14th June at 1066 when the next round gets underway.

What a glorious weekend - and what’s the best way to spend a hot, sunny weekend? That’s right, sit in a field racing RC cars!

This weekend was the first round of the BRCA Nationals at Potteries RC and FORCC was represented by Hattie, Evie and James.

A track with a mix of fast, flowy sections and tighter turns and jumps, combined with rapidly decreasing grip as the temperature ramped up led to some some amazing controlled driving from our guys and gals (and maybe a little sunburn!)

2WD:
James qualified 2nd in the F final, his best result to date, ultimately finishing 6th after an unlucky crash pressurising the leader.

Evie qualified 2nd in G and, after a great overtake, held on to 1st place with a brilliant drive under a lot of pressure for almost 5 minutes straight!

Hattie qualified 10th in the G and battled through to finish 7th with some determined racing.

4WD:
Hattie qualified 3rd in the E and maintained that position.

Evie qualified 4th in the G and gained one spot to podium.

Well done everyone!

Next stop, BMR in 2 weeks for nationals rd2
