Why do people risk their own and others lives.

This driver came in for 2 front tyres and a tracking. Whilst carrying out the job, our tech noticed that one of the rear tyres was not only cracking and perishing but had numerous splits. The driver was advised that this tyre also needed replacing but refused to get it changed because it still had tread on it. 🙈

Tiredness is one of the biggest causes of serious motorway crashes. It's not worth pushing through.

Slippery when wet!
The hot weather has gone (for now) and we’ve had rain…
Be prepared to slow down and be extra careful when driving or riding as roads can be extra slippery in the wet after along period of dry weather.
Give those on two wheels extra space, as they are especially vulnerable to a slippery road surface (stock photos).

Would you buy part-worn brakes? So why take the risk with part-worn tyres?

TyreSafe is reminding drivers to remain vigilant when choosing replacement tyres following enforcement activity that uncovered serious safety and compliance concerns.

In Norfolk, 36% of 191 part-worn tyres inspected were found to be in a dangerous condition, while in Lancashire, none of the 30 tyres inspected met the legal requirements.

Part-worn tyres can have an unknown history, with damage from impacts, under-inflation or previous repairs not always visible from the outside.

Always buy from a reputable retailer, make sure your tyres are suitable and compliant, and regularly check Air pressure, Condition and Tread using the ACT method.
