RailEx Fareham 2026 is bigger than ever!

Join us at Fareham Leisure Centre on 3-4 October for a packed weekend of model railways, specialist traders, demonstrations and family activities.

This year, we are adding an extra exhibition room, bringing you even more to discover as Fareham & District Model Railway Club celebrates its 60th anniversary.

First layout announcement for RailEx Fareham 2026: Ropley Station, in OO gauge.

Based on the Watercress Line’s Ropley station in Hampshire, this detailed preserved-railway layout captures the busy heart of the line, where locomotives are maintained and restored.

With a two-platform station, workshops, locomotive yard and plenty of realistic shunting and train movements, there will be something happening wherever you look.

See Ropley Station at RailEx Fareham on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October at Fareham Leisure Centre.

RailEx 2026 is bigger than ever, with an extra exhibition room bringing even more layouts and specialist traders. Adults are £10 in advance, and children go free.

Want to see a mega layout? The Depot and Fareford East will be at Chatham & District Model Railway Club exhibition - 18/19th July.

Both layouts running NSE liveried Stock since it was 40 years ago when it was formed.

Class 87 now fitted with sound :)

3 new additions to the depot. Converted 153s in network rail liveries ( yes, I fitted the camera after the pict) and a Class 87 in NSE livery !

It has been brought to my attention that a picture of the Depot is being used on the Abingdon MRC show poster.

I can confirm that the Depot has NOT been invited and the picture has been used without my knowledge .
