POTHOLES
You may wonder, how some people can drive over ones the size of the Grand Canyon, and nothing happens...
Then BANG, your tyre blows out from going over a minor dip in the road?!
Sometimes it's just s**t luck,
More often than not, its because your tyre has weak spots , damage or other issues,
π§π§π§π§π§π§π§
Cuts - minor or major, cuts in your tyre can become an issue, over time, the cuts get bigger, water gets in and reaches the steel cords inside -when these rust and deteriorate, your tyre structure weakens.
Sidewall damage - something like a cut (see above) a bulge, or a slice from hitting a curb, compromises the tyres integrity.
Pressure - too much? Too little? Either can cause uneven wear, and make it susceptible to further damange.
Age - old tyres! Cracking and perishing along the tyre shoulder, sidewall or along the tread - like cuts, gives water access into your tyres

The long and short of it is,
Tyre maintenance isn't just about your tread depth, give them a good look over, call into your local garage or ask a fitter to take a peek!
Can prevent blowouts and unnecessary drama!
