Yesterday -A beautiful afternoon sheltered by Restronguet Point bringing moorings ashore

02/10/2026

Today our 12year anniversary of running Mylor Moorings Services was marked by a beautiful sunrise-here’s to a busy winter ahead, hopefully 🤞🏻 with more sunrises like this.

Seagrass planting!
This week we have had the pleasure of being involved in another seagrass planting initiative. Our team has worked with the Ocean conservation trust and Land & Water to trial this machine planting multiple seagrass shoots in a single drop. Pretty cool stuff!

Ghost Net 😱 😢 Our season has now started! Following our summer refit we planned a routine day recovering seasonal markers in Portscatho until we had to deal with this nightmare! The nets were full of live fish, crab and other wildlife, our team set to it with knives and pliers to free what we could. Too often we pick up discarded fishing gear caught in moorings.
Off now to shoreside disposal.

What a season! Battling through the toughest winter we have known, 1700 moorings have been serviced, 400 moorings laid, numerous pontoon, anchoring and marine installations maintained and installed, environmental moorings laid, to name a few of the tasks we have carried out since October. We have worked alongside some fantastic customers for a season of great results. The end of our season afloat is marked by our precious and hard working barges being hauled out of the water for a summer of maintenance, repairs, improvements and adjustments to ensure consistent and safe onward services and to keep on top of the regulations required for commercial operations afloat.
Thank you to all who use Mylor Mooring Services, have a great summer!

A perfect day for Porthscatho. Today we laid the summer marks in Gerrans Bay and serviced the Porthscatho moorings ready for the season.

Summer is on the horizon ☀️
Today we’re in St Mawes Harbour relaying and positioning the port notices, ready for the busy season ahead.
A quick recap — these installations use the Advanced Mooring System (PNAMS). Each unit is secured with natural granite sinkers and has no seabed contact beyond its core component, helping to protect and encourage the health and growth of sensitive seabed habitats and marine species.

Hazards to navigation! These trees had become a serious obstruction to passing vessels.

We were commissioned by Truro Harbour to remove them and restore a safe, clear fairway.

Just a reminder that we can support water frontage projects, including delivery and removal of heavy duty materials where access by land is limited or impractical.
