🔧 WORKSHOP WEDNESDAY | FROM SCHOOL LEAVER TO FULLY QUALIFIED HGV TECHNICIAN🔧

A huge congratulations to Jamie Anthony, who has officially passed his Modern Apprenticeship and is now a fully qualified HGV Technician - at the ripe old age of just 20! 👏🎓

Jamie joined the team at Alltruck Maintenance, in May 2023, coming to us straight from school and starting from scratch.

Since then, he’s worked his way through the Modern Apprenticeship Scheme, combining hands-on experience in the workshop with online learning and physical attendance at the Daimler Truck Academy.

It’s been a fantastic grounding for a career in our industry and with the multi-brand exposure he gets at Alltruck, Jamie has had the opportunity to build knowledge and experience across a wide range of vehicles.

Passing the apprenticeship is a brilliant achievement, but as we always say, the hard work starts here.

Every day is a school day. Keep applying the knowledge, keep asking questions and keep looking for ways to improve. 💪

Our sector continues to face a real challenge in recruiting quality technicians, which is why we believe so strongly in growing our own and giving talented young people the opportunity to build a proper career in the industry.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a driven and talented young team coming through at Alltruck and Jamie is another great example of what can be achieved.

🏃‍♂️ TEAM SPIRIT DOESN’T STOP AT THE WORKSHOP! 🔧🚛

At Alltruck, we’re incredibly proud of our workforce and the team spirit we’ve nurtured across the business. It’s even better when we see those same qualities of commitment, resilience, friendship and togetherness continuing outside of work.

On Sunday, a few of our young HGV technicians swapped their tools for running shoes and took on the Paisley 10K for charity! 💪🏅

The Paisley 10K and Fun Run is one of Scotland’s most popular events of its kind, with an incredible 3,500 runners taking part this year and thousands more lining the streets to cheer them on.

We talk a lot at Alltruck about winning together. Seeing our people supporting one another, setting themselves a challenge and showing the same determination away from work that they bring to the workshop makes us immensely proud.

🔧 - When Others Can’t Find It, We Keep Digging! 🔧

This truck came to us following a mobile breakdown callout for an intermittent gearbox fault that had been causing the customer problems for some time.

Our attending technician carried out initial tests at the roadside and quickly established that this one needed a closer look. The vehicle was safely accompanied back to the Alltruck workshop, where the real detective work began. 🔍

With the gearbox stripped down, we found the culprits - a damaged clutch, flywheel and internal fork.

Repairs completed ✅
Gearbox rebuilt ✅
Road-tested ✅
Fault gone ✅
Happy customer ✅

Best of all, this was a long-standing issue that several other garages had previously tried to resolve without success.

Sometimes it's not about changing parts and hoping for the best. It's about finding the actual problem, fixing it properly and getting the truck back out earning its keep.

Another job sorted by the Alltruck workshop team. 💪🚛
