VW Transporter 6.1 came in for a timing belt replacement, due to the mileage at 160,000 I also recommend replacing the oil pump wet belt.

Once stripped down it looked like it has never been done, as you can see it had started to deteriorate and break up and was restricting the oil pump pick up.

Full INA timing belt and water pump kit fitted.
New oil pump belt.
Strainer fully cleaned out.
New front crank shaft oil seal.

Hopefully good for another 160,000 miles.

Recently had this BMW 420d in for timing chain replacement, as you can see in the photo the top chain was quite worn as the locking tool wouldn’t fit correctly.

All chains, guides and tensioners replaced using genuine BMW parts and now timed correctly.
All finished off with fresh oil and filter change.
Another happy customer who has already rebooked for further work. 👍

Recently had this Peugeot RCZ in for a rattle from the engine. No surprise where is was coming from. ⛓️🤦‍♂️

New chains, sprockets, guides and tensioner fitted along with fresh oil and filter had it sounding a lot happier again.

Also made a nice change to do something different than an N47 chain. 😂

BMW 116i n13 came in for drivetrain warning message and lack of power. An ISTA check showed codes for the vanos system, a quick check of the timing revealed it was a long way out. Judging by the amount of silicone on the cam cover gasket someone had been here before.
New timing chains and guides and tensioner fitted along with a few other parts had this engine back running as it should. 👍

It’s been a busy few months and I haven’t had time to post much.
Here’s another BMW N47 in recently for a top end rattle, once stripped down not only was the top timing chain stretched but the top guide was also broken up.
All new guides, chains and tensioners fitted, fresh oil and filter and now running alot smoother. 👍

Ford focus eco boost in today to replace the “wet belt” which was overdue by 12 months, luckily this vehicle has been regularly serviced on time using the correct grade oil, meaning the belt was in surprisingly good condition but still showing signs it was starting to break up and debris starting to build in the oil pump strainer.
•Both belts and tensioner replaced
•Strainer cleaned out
•turbo/ vacuum pump filter replaced
•new water pump and auxiliary belt
•new oil and filter and coolant.

BMW F30 N47 recovered in after the owner noticed the chain was very slack while they were changing their rocker cover gasket as it was leaking oil.

They caught this in time as the top guide had started to break up and the tensioner was all the way out.
•3 IWIS chains fitted
•4 chain guides replaced
•2 new tensioners
•new oil sprayer.
•new oil and filter
•1 lucky customer 👍

VW Transporter in recently for a service where some issues were found during the inspection, after sending some photos to the customer and explaining what was required all the work was authorised and the following items replaced.
•Replaced worn wishbone bushes with powerflex bushes.
•Worn driveshaft and stubshaft replaced.
•Worn out pad and discs replaced.
•Perished auxiliary drive belt replaced.
