Exeter Cruises Scenic cruises along Exeter's historic canal Daily service during June, July and August. Weekends and Bank Holidays only during April, May and September.

Enjoy a scenic cruise along Exeter's historic canal. 50 minute round trip or stop for lunch at a great family pub and return on a later boat. Private hire available during daytime and evenings to suit all types of events including weddings, stag/hen nights, birthdays and work functions. We also offer pedalo hire and operate Butts Ferry, the oldest pull ferry in Britain.

On Sunday 7th there is a book market event on both sides of Exeter Quays, Butts Ferry will be free for all users all day.

Our little boats will be available to rent on the river Exe for the same date as above.

Southern Comfort will be open for the coming bank holiday weekend.
Saturday 23rd, Sunday 24th & Monday 25th.
Not open mid week.
Then open on Saturday 30 & Sunday 31st.

Butts Ferry and our little boats will be open on the river Exe for the same date as above and hopefully mid week for the half term.

We are looking forward to next weekends bank holiday where we will be open for all three days.

The river and canal have been reopened to water users this weekend. Council advice is no direct contact with water and to not let dogs enter the water.
Southern Comfort will not operate this weekend.
The Butts Ferry, pedaloes and row boats will open for business on the river Exe all weekend.

Southern Comfort cannot operate this weekend (25th & 26th April) due to the blue/green algae present in the canal. Disturbing any active blooms can further the issue & could become more problematic.
Butts Ferry will be in service on the river Exe.
Yet to know if it will be safe to rent the pedaloes and row boats we have on offer, this will be assessed and a decision made on Saturday. Thanks. Sorry for any inconvenience.
