Showroom Assistant / Parts Advisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Western Towing, an established family business specializing in towbars, trailers, caravan equipment, parts and accessories.

We are looking for a Showroom Assistant / Parts Advisor to join our Exeter branch. This is a varied, customer-facing role working closely with both our showroom and busy workshop team.

The Role

Your main responsibilities will include:

Serving customers in person, over the telephone and by email
Advising customers on parts, accessories and towing products
Processing sales and preparing orders
Checking stock and receiving deliveries
Using our stock and invoicing systems
Checking our trailer hire fleet in and out
Working closely with the workshop team
Keeping the showroom and stock areas clean and tidy
Providing excellent customer service at all times

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Friendly, approachable and confident with customers
A good communicator with a professional telephone manner
Computer literate and organised
Reliable, proactive and able to use their own initiative
A good team player with a positive attitude
Keen to learn and develop their knowledge
Interested in cars, trailers, caravans or vehicle parts

Previous experience in automotive parts, retail, towing or trailers would be an advantage but is not essential. Full training will be provided to the right person.

Experience with Sage Accounts would also be useful.

Monday–Friday: 8:55am–5:30pm
Saturday: 8:55am–12:30pm, approximately every other Saturday

Closed on Bank Holidays and from Christmas Eve through to New Year.
