Due to a brief stay in Hospital over the weekend, this week will be a bit limited on working hours sorry. Open tomorrow until 3.30 but then closed until the Monday. Please bare with me and hopefully I'll be back to normal next week.

I will try and get as much done as physically possible Wednesday.

Well what started as a pretty much relaxed day, waiting for parts etc, soon turned into a manic 6 hrs and didn't get to start the jobs waiting for parts when they turned up. Another long day tomorrow by the looks of it!

Don't forget the Twisted Iron turnout at Mr Watsons Cafe Saturday 10am until 1pm.

I have plans going forward but this first one will be as previous meets.

That's it done for this week, apart from the pre booked Saturday morning jobs. Back at it Monday.

Some very near completion and some not.

Well its been a ridiculously hot sweaty uncomfortable day today. Started at 5am to try and get everything done before the heat but failed. Still managed to get everything done apart from one where parts never arrived.

Ajs 16ms rebore, valve guides, magneto replacement, repair dynamo and tune.

Triumph 650 chopper, charging system repair, service, valve clearances and tune.

Ariel 1948 NH350 rewire, new carb tune and repair dynamo,

Kawasaki something or other(not the kind of bike I work on) fault finding.

Nearly finished 1964 Triumph bonneville

Absolutely knackered.

OK, out of the workshop now until Monday 10th.....we'll that's the plan.

Also good news, only 4 outstanding invoices waiting to be paid. Only taken a month to get it down by half.

I'm fair with many of my good regular customers, and will always help out until their pay day, but please don't let things get too behind as all privileges will be revoked and the no pay no bike will become stricked policy in the future.

If you need your bike fixed in a hurry and it looks like you may not have funds on completion, please talk to me first, we may be able to sort something out.

Also going forward, regarding parts costs. Once parts cost reach a maximum of £200 there will be an interim invoice issued. Once this is paid and if more parts are needed, they will be ordered. Failure to pay the interim invoice will result in all work stopping until settled. I will be contact all customers with work ongoing to explain the situation, and I hope they understand. I wish I could bank roll everyones project but unfortunately I can't.

I actually just had a customer ask if I could cancel the break I had planned so I can work on their bike! It was only 3 working days which is now down to 2.5 because I'm trying to keep everyone happy.

Wish I got 4 weeks paid holiday a year with no questions asked!!!

Plus bank holidays!!!

Sometimes however much you try and plan the work schedule, it just doesn't work out. Waiting for parts, previous owner bodges, new problems which show up! Or do I just do what many others do and just whats asked? Then when they come back and say something else is wrong, I can respond with "you didn't ask me to look at that"

Sorry that's not the way I do things.

Now! Where's my magic wand gone? 😄
