1935 AUSTIN 10/4 LICHFIELD. WITHOUT RESERVE. Chassis number G59172. First registered 91 years ago in Dorset on Thursday March 28th 1935 which makes us wonder who was the first owner, what became of them and would they have ever imagined when they collected their Lichfield it would still be running 91 years later. Historically just over 4 years later WW2 was to break out. On the same day as this little Austin was registered Ramsay MacDonald from Lossiemouth, Moray was our Prime Minister, Petrol was 1/- 6d (7.5p) a gallon, the average weekly wage was £2. 5/- 5d (£2.28p) and a fish supper was 4d (2p), Presented with an excellent history file the car was a regular attendee at Classic Car Shows in recent years. It is now being sold as part of a deceased's estate. The first styling change on the 10/4 came in August 1934 when the plated surround or cowl around the radiator grille was replaced by one painted to match the cars body colour and given a slight slope. Synchromesh was added to second gear along with dual screen wipers, flush-fitting self-cancelling trafficators, worked by the steering and a foot operated headlamp dip switch were also fitted. The engine controls were simplified by the adoption of automatic ignition, compensated voltage control, and the provision of a "choke" (combined strangler and throttle control). The saloon was given the name Lichfield and got a protruding boot which enclosed the spare wheel.

AVAILABLE TO BUY NOW. 2001 JAGUAR S-TYPE 4.0 V8 AUTO. ESTIMATE £2500 - £3250. Chassis number SAJAC01M61GM30347. The history for this ultra rare and desirable V8 example shows it to have been supplied to Jaguar Executive sales on 17th July 2001 suggesting it was a Directors car until it was retailed to its first private owner by Guy Salmon Jaguar Ltd Surrey at 9,700 miles on 7th Feb 2002. The extensive well organised history file shows the car remaining in the South of England and being serviced by the supplying dealer and other Jaguar main agents before its recent move to Scotland. The original service book and invoices show meticulous maintenance with both stamps and accompanying invoices for all services, including a separate folder of maintenance bills, old Mot's, original handbooks and supplements and the original spare key. Specification includes; - sunroof, sat nav, rear blind, full leather, reverse park, 18" Monaco wheels to name but a few. The car has an advisory free Mot until July 2027. With good examples of the V8 now being appreciated especially examples with the manual handbrake. The cars history is as listed.
