There is nothing quite like it.

Twenty minutes in the sauna, the heat soaking right into your bones, looking out over Lough Barry as the light starts to fade. Then out the door and straight into the cold plunge.

The first few seconds take your breath away. Then something changes. Your head clears, your skin tingles and you feel more awake than you have in weeks.

Back into the sauna, and repeat.

Every one of our lodges has its own private sauna, cold plunge and hot tub, right at the water's edge. No queues, no timetable. Just you, the lough and as many rounds as you can handle.

Autumn is the perfect time to try it. Crisp evenings, a fire pit afterwards and a proper night's sleep.

There's something special about an October morning at Loughshore. The lough is still, the woodland is turning, and the mist hangs over the water until the sun slowly burns it away. No crowds, no rush, just a warm mug in your hands and a front-row seat.
