Our community needs your help!
Portsmouth VDubbers may remember back in February 2020 we were able to share the word about a wish for a funeral convoy, and between us all, we were able to make this happen.
We have had another appeal come through, for another local VW funeral convoy.
Long term VW enthusiast, and mechanic Keith Baxter passed away and his funeral is tomorrow. His daughter Kyla Smith says:
“He had such a love for anything VW until the day he passed. He had a VW van, he went to alot of camper festivals, Beach Dubbin’ shows on Southsea Sea Front, and around the country. The love for VW kinda ran in the family, and as children we spent our days out in his orange split screen camper. He used to work at VW City garage in Portsmouth. He unexpectedly passed away on the 29th September at age 56.”
The Funeral is tomorrow on Tuesday 26th October leaving from his home address in the Portsmouth area to get to the church for 1.45pm.
Kyla will be in the comments below to make arrangements with anyone who is available - extra points for anyone with an Orange camper to head up the convoy.
We have the best local community of dubbers, and hopefully we can get this done for their family, and in Keith’s memory. 💕
