Back in stock! New and better.
These horizontal radiator hoses are back in stock but this time better.
Old problem; not long enough.
I asked Samco what was the best they could do at no "extra costs"special hoses. So, they left 60mm on the 90 degree hoses that they would normally trim.

I need to thank a French customer for pointing out to me that more hose was needed. Merci beaucoup!!!😁

Sad news again! Two rods finish today;
350 rod 1990-1995 & 400 rod 1995-2000
501 rod 1989-1993
I had no trouble at all with these and the build quality was the tops. But for me, it isn't worth getting another 12 in. Shame!

Also finished are these two items which I had plenty of in stock but now the stock has finished;
400 head gasket 2001-2003.
501 head gasket 2001-2004.

I have a 501 so I'm in the same boat.

We'll continue to use the 100mm 650 headgasket - while stocks last!

Need a kick start arm?
Well, I don't have any!

But I did make THIS a few years ago and if you are prepared to get some machining done, you can do it yourself! It is at 101852 on the web shop.

Remember, you have to do the work!
1) bore the hole from 14 to 16mm.
2) create a circlip groove in the Husaberg lower knuckle.
3) use zip ties or lockwire to keep the rubber on. (but it will come off eventually so how about a bit of garden hose on it?)
4) It has a little bit of 'heel bone' that you grind off. (It doesn't rust)

You'll need your plastic case buffer to be in good condition!
I have knuckles for the 1990s Husabergs. (199085)

As you can see, it is difficult to get it under the fuel tank 2001-2008.

But at £38(+VAT only in the UK), can you complain?

Starting a 1989-2008
THis is the advice for a 2004-2008 650 Husaberg I gave just now.....

"I urge customers to buy 2-3 things when they get the 650.

The starter repair kit (SRK) as you have seen is excellent. https://www.taffmeisters.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=948
An iridium plug such as the IXU24 Denso plug which I no longer stock but I have the NGK DCPR8EIX - the NGK equivalent https://www.taffmeisters.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=711.

The pilot screw must only be set when the engine is warm for the highest idle it will give. The PS is underneath the carb. After this, the idle must be lowered only on the idle k**b. Repeat this process a second time.

Very often you find the PS likes two positions. For example; 1.25 and 1.5 turns out. Try and restart the bike with the PS in both positions and one of them will be better for restarting than the other. Remember, if you're just ¼-turn out and they don’t start!

What we have discovered with the 650 over the years is that as soon as the sprague starts to slip, it will always slip. Look at the ‘nipples’ and if you can see a ‘flat area’ then it is finished. Kaputt! The 650 can wreck a sprague bearing in 15-minutes and 20 attempts as it starts slipping. Too late.

So, the 650 must always start with a new sprague bearing https://www.taffmeisters.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=375 and from the off you must fit the SRK. It comes with instructions…. In English of course!

I have always encouraged SEMI-synthetic oil for better starting. Fully synthetic ruins the starter gears - and the clutch steels.

You will of course have a CTZ7S Gel-cel battery or have gone to an even more powerful Li-on battery.

Finally; valve clearances. 1/6th of a turn and Taffy’s GOLDEN rule; You must be able to ‘morse-code’ the tappets and hear the tick-tick of the tappets at the rear licence plate… only just. 1/6th of a turn yes BUT, undo a little and then a little more for the ‘morse code noise’.

Sad day again today.

Some orders act like a lazer beam and 'zap' all the items coming to an end.

So today I have sold the last of the linkage kits I got made up. A lot of work and just £75/Euro 80 and yet it took me 2 years to get rid of 16 sets. Not worth it and not replacing them.

Next, the last of my 1989-1996 sidepanels, my last left panel has been sold.

Next, my last 1994 seat.

I sold out of two more items which I'll replace; 30mm exhaust valves and swingarm pins but I'm just getting to that point now where I have to say is it worth it?

All you customers are only buying a few little things now.

What do you guys think?

We've just got in some 31mm inlet valves to suit the 1989-2000 350 and 400 Husabergs. See them at 101189 and the OEM part number was 20008201,

Also here are a batch of 27mm exhaust valves that suit the 1990-2003 350 and 400 Bergs. See them at 101110 and the OEM part number was 20008301.

I once tuned a 400 sent over from Norway (Hello Uno!). We fitted 32.5mm inlets, ported it out H-A-R-D as the ports were like a squirrel's ear! We bored it to 95mm and put the 501 piston in making 426cc. Customer said it was a new bike!

OEM Rod Kit Complete for the early 350 and 400 up to 2001. Also fits the Lonstroke 501 1989-1993.

Gonna have a look deeper in there cupboards for more Gold.
