Spring has definitely sprung at the workshop with plenty of cars awaiting their turn for tlc!

We are closed this coming week for a short Easter break and will be re-opening on Monday 13th April.

**SOLD** 1987 2cv6 Dolly

Meet Jenny. She is a delightful 2cv Dolly finished in the ever-popular 'plums and custard' colour scheme. Jenny is a good, usable car, solid in all the right places and is a delight to drive. She features a galvanised chassis, solid, rust-free bodyshell and good, straight panels. She isn't concours, but is nonetheless a very presentable 2cv that can be driven and enjoyed.

We gave Jenny a light make-over a few years ago, when we carried out some body repairs such as a lower windscreen surround & bonnet hinge, as well as some paintwork here and there. She also received new wheels and tyres, bumpers and a high quality roof by Matt's soft tops.

Mechanically, she is in excellent shape, with the engine having undergone an overhaul with new 9.0:1 pistons & barrels, re-jetted carburettor, a new coil and a Lumenition electronic ignition system. It has covered less than 2k miles since. A new battery has been fitted and has just been serviced with new oil, filter and plugs. The car starts on the button and runs like a swiss watch as you'd expect.

Inside, she is neat and tidy, everything works as it should and the seats have recently been re-sprung with new rubbers and base supports. A carpet set and 12v socket adds that extra touch of luxury!

Jenny comes with an extensive service history folder going right back to her early years and the original handbook and wallet is present.

Serviced and checked over by us, Jenny comes with a new MOT and is ready to drive away.

Go on - treat yourself....spring is just around the corner after all!

We started the new year straight into a re-commission, re-chassis and body repairs on Carlton & Catherine's 2cv. Needless to say the work to the shell was far more extensive than first envisaged, resulting in a whole new back end. But it will be worth it - knowing that their 2cv will be solid and safe for many years to come!

And that's a wrap for 2025! We are now closed for the holidays and will reopen on 5th Jan 2026. And it has certainly been another busy year of refurbishing, reviving, revitalising, rehoming and refreshing our favourite cars. Thanks as always to our lovely customers, friends and suppliers. We couldn't do it without you! Wishing one and all happy holidays and a peaceful, A-series shaped new year!

Last job of the year was to breathe some life back into this sorry looking beachcomber. Now structurally good, set up and running well after near thirty years dormancy, and going back together. It'll never win any shows but I kinda like it just as it is - scruffy and honest. Just like something we'd roll in back in the 1990s!

1987 2cv6 Special in Alpine White. A good, usable go-anywhere 2cv. Not a show winner, but a solid and dependable car that needs no major work going forward.
Benefits from a galvanised chassis, 123 electronic ignition, dry coil as well as a recent new battery, exhaust and a set of tyres.

Neat and tidy interior, everything works as it should...including the heater! Roof by Matts Soft tops.

We have mechanically looked after this 2cv for its owner over the past seven or eight years so we know it well, and it hasn't wanted for anything in that time. We can supply all the invoices for what's been done on our watch. Runs well, drives well, starts on the button in all weathers.

A good daily driver as it is, or a great basis to cosmetically improve over time, if desired. Comes checked over and ready to go with a full MOT.

NEC Classic Motor Show 2025

Happy 10th anniversary Cambridge 2cv! I can't believe where the time has gone! In 2015, I collected the keys to the workshop and embarked onto a journey into the (relative) unknown.

The daunting prospect of starting and running my own business, building up and maintaining a customer base, cementing a good reputation...I needn't have worried as I have never looked back. And what a journey it has been! There have been good times, less than good times, new skills learnt, plenty of capers and experiences.

It truly has been more than a job...it is a way of life, often a labour of love, but above all, C2cv wouldn't still be here without the support of all our wonderful customers, suppliers and friends. We love you all.

I thought I'd do a little album of some of my favourite cars to come through our doors over the past decade, as well as fun 2cv-related times that make the graft all worthwhile. See if you can spot your car!
