After being away, then straight into a busy remaining week on return, this post is a week late 🫣

I got a message from Filip saying there was a very late cancellation test become available, however it clashed with dates I was away. After a chat and bit of encouragement Filip took the test in his mums car, which he had driven a fair bit in anyway.
So it was very pleasing to look at my phone when arriving in Scotland to see he had smashed it 👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻

Finally get to write a post on Chloe!! 😊
As much as first time passes or 0 fault test are satisfying as an instructor. We also get just as much from results like today.
This result didn’t come easy for Chloe, her nerves and anxiety are very real. Her ability and knowledge was never in doubt.
So the nerves got to her on first 2 tests, not bad drives just random mishaps that can come when your battling the anxieties and nerves. The last test was just 3.5weeks ago and through the tears at the end we heard the words “ I just give up”. What did she do when the dust is settled? picked herself up and went again…. Today, with no anxiety meds etc just pure determination and guts, got straight back in and nailed it!! 💪🏻🙌🏻
This should be an inspiration to anyone out there that suffers from high level (and I mean where you require meds) anxiety, that you can get that pass, just takes that little more determination to hang in there👍🏻😊

So beginning of the month Jack took his test… 0 driver faults (minors) but one mishap that dipped into the serious bracket on marking 🤯☹️ even the examiner had her head in her hands in disbelief 😤

So he dusted himself off from the disappointment and got a cancellation, only one thing to do…. Smash it again with another 0 driver fault drive!! This time without the mishap 💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻

Well done Jack, been a pleasure helping you from start to finish. Stay safe out there mate, give us a wave too👋🏻

Well it’s going to be another hot 🥵 one!!

Long day ahead with the normal late Thursday finish…. But the extra early start (6:50am) was made well worth while, thanks to Owen👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Fair play to this lad, it’s been a journey to get here. Had to pick himself up a couple and dig in when some would have just thrown in the towel and quit, not Owen. And today he got what he deserves💪🏻👏🏻😊👍🏻

⚠️Be Warned guys⚠️ For pupils booking or looking for cancellation tests!!! After the recent DVSA changes, make sure only yourself is booking or making changes to your test. While some 3rd party apps are looking like they still working for you, DVSA are cancelling tests that have used these methods since the changes were made. Stay within the rules or risk being cancelled by the DVSA☹️😳🫣

Big congratulations to Kelly on gaining her full driving licence this afternoon.

Busy busy out there today but all taken in her stride, even the idiot pulling on an e-bike while on our way to test centre, we took it as though he was just helping to check her reactions and braking 😊

Nice comments from the examiner, just the 1 tiny df 👌🏻👍🏻 big well done 👏🏻👏🏻 been a pleasure getting to know you and helping you along the way to this result.

And as an added little bonus, not only did Kelly pick up her pass certificate but also a little refund, after paying for a block of 10, we got a cancellation with 3 lesson remaining of the prepaid 💷👌🏻👍🏻

Big congratulations to Jamie this morning👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻. Good pass at Chester TC, picked up 2df on first roundabout due to nerves then sailed through the rest of the test with nothing but “a great drive” (words of the examiner)
